Krimmler Waterfalls – 50 years European Diploma area

Exhibition in the house of the local authority during the office hours 2017

In cooperation with: Salzburg National Park Fund, Austrian Alpine Association, Warnsdorf-Krimml Alpine Association, State of Salzburg, Krimml Municipality, Chrumbas Cultural Association, TVB Krimml

As part of the 50th anniversary of the European Diploma for Protected Areas being awarded to the Krimml Waterfalls, this special exhibition shows in four stations how the protected natural monument and "Pinzgau Sanctuary" has become what hundreds of thousands of visitors from Germany and Germany come to see every year admire abroad.
A quick look back explains how the Krimml Waterfalls gained radiance for the people and under what circumstances the European Diploma was awarded for the first time. What interactions result from the regular extension of the European diploma for protected areas and how modern national park management can work with sensitivity for nature and people is part of the consideration of the present. The images and texts concentrate on the essentials in order to make the content comprehensible.
Stations three and four deal with what has changed, what has stayed the same and what the future of the Krimml Waterfalls might look like. They open up space for associations and want to make a contribution to a secure future for the Krimml Waterfalls in the Hohe Tauern National Park.
