From Alpengasthof Finkau (paid car park) the path leads past the Leitenkamerklamm and the Trisslalm through the Wildgerlostal. At the end of the valley, ascent to the Zittauer Hütte via a well-marked path (walking time to the hut approx. 3 hours) From the Zittauer Hütte, the ascent to the Wildgerlossee follows (walking time approx. 30 minutes). The Wildgerlossee is a natural jewel. Surrounded by white cotton grass, framed by lichen-covered rock slabs, the peaks of the Reichenspitz Group are reflected in its clear water. It is fantastic to stop off or spend the night at the idyllically situated Zittau hut on the descent and let the Kogler family spoil you with culinary delights.
